Mir gehts hauptsächlich darum, daß das System auch mit voller Performance (x16) läuft, wenn
nur im unteren Slot eine Graka steckt. Manche Boards verlangen ja eine Graka im "primären" Slot und booten sonst gar nicht...
Witzig ist das mit den Southbridges schon: Hab gestern gesehen, daß mein Lieblings-Mainboardhersteller Supermicro jetzt auch ein P35-Board im Angebot hat; hier ist die Southbridge
gar nicht gekühlt, es is einfach das nackte Kunststoff-package am Board drauf. (

Jetzt frag ich mich: wie geht das?!? Andere Hersteller brauchen auch bei P35-Boards zumindest einen Passivkühler, am besten mit Heatpipe und Supermicro läßt hier ein nacktes Kunststoffdie sitzen, noch dazu an einer Stelle an der nur sehr wenig Luftstrom herrschen wird? Da stellt sich die Frage: ist das nur Marketing, weils "besser gekühlt" aussieht, oder wird das Ding im Betrieb wirklich so heiß? Ich kenn leider nur eine ICH5R, und die wird ungekühlt grad mal handwarm...
