Hi,

if the Motherboard is like mine from Gigabyte ( see this pics ) a northbrige cooler must be mounted with the fittings pointing to the bottom of the motherboard. as you can see on the picture, there is not lot of room, but the NV40 Cool-Matic it self is not the problem.

Thanks for the replies. Id like to have the plexi though, can I take off the top aluminum cover, and leave just the plexi?

rufinus, my block is a little different than yours. The barbs are not really the problem, its the block itself. Its not really that thick, but just enough to cause a problem with the block. What are your temps now? Default cooling mine is 57c idle, 86c load.

you should watch your tubes!!! it's not save enough just to put them over the adapter! the tube can slip over and desrtoy your pc! use a cable tie

yes and no, if you remove the alu the plexi can be damaged later through the strength of assembly.
