Hi,

Kurze Frage: Kann man bei IDE Kabeln den ungenutzten Stecker abschneiden, oder funktionieren die dann nicht mehr? Ich hab aus Performancegründen an jedem IDE Kanal nur ein Laufwerk, und der zweite Stecker am Kabel verstopft nur das Case unnötig :)

hab ich zwar noch nie gehört aber im Prinzip sollts nix machen...nur schaun das an dem Schnittpunkt keine Ader mit der anderen eine Verbindung hat...

Also theoretisch ja.

Versuchs am Stecker mit einem scharfen Cuttermesser. Pass auf, das kein Kurzschluß auftritt :arrow: am besten mit der Lupe kontrollieren

mit "alt" meinst du die alten 40-Adrigen Kabel oder? Ich hatte nur 80-Adrige Kabel also dürften die dann auf jeden Fall funktionieren.

Es gibt nämlich blaue UV aktive IDE/ATA133 Kabel für 1 Gerät die genau zu den blauen PVC-Schläuchen passen, grade in einem Shop entdeckt :o
