Datenraten (theoretisch) :

USB 2.0 : 60 MB/s
Firewire : 50 MB/s
IDE : 100 MB bzw. 133 MB/s (IDE 133)
SATA I : 150 MB/s
SATA II : 300 MB/s

Die Übertragungsraten / Geschwindigkeiten sind aber sehr theoretischer Natur, denn erreicht werden diese eigentlich nicht! (Beispiel: UDMA 5 = ATA 100 = deutlich unter 100MB/s ).
Wobei SATA II natürlich schon wesentlich schneller ist (theoretisch) als die anderen Standards. (Beispiel: SATA II zu ATA 100).

Wenn du auf Nummer Sicher gehen willst, dann hol dir ne Externe mit USB und Firewire.
Da bist du am flexibelsten (wenn auch nicht am schnellsten), auch unterwegs.
