My german is very basic so I have to write to you in english.
Whenever I start the Fan Control program it says "Verbindung Fehler".
I have connected the Fan-O-Matic to my ASUS A7N8X via the Serial RS232, Both COM1 and COM2 has been tried. BIOS has been set either to default (3F8/IRQ4 for COM1 and 2F8/IRQ3 for COM2) or AUTO. No IRQ conflicts as far as I can see. Neither of these COM ports has ever been used before on this computer.
The fans are spinning at default (5V?) and all seems in order except I can´t make any connection to control the Fan-O-Matic Black Box.

Grateful for any help!

Bought a USB to serial RS232 adapter, installed and checked that the bridge worked fine. Still, when I start the Fan Control program, it reports Verbindung Fehler and I can´t do anything. This sucks.

Thanks for the support you have given me. I shall now RMA this stupid thing.
