Wie schon gesagt (und in der PC Games Hardware irgendwann dieses Jahr getestet) haben einige Ramkühler die Eigenschaft, die Wärme eher zu isolieren als wirkungsvoll abzuleiten. Als Ergebniss waren einige Riegel mit Kühler wärmer als ohne. Verbesserungen der OC-Eigenschaften waren auch nicht messbar.
Generell, wenn du keinen Luftzug im Rechner hast bring der Kühler nicht mehr als der Betrieb der nackten Riegel, ausser das die Riegel auf der gesamten Länge gleichmäßig warm gehalten werden
Worauf du auch achten solltest, einige Boards (wie mein Giabyte nForce3) haben eine sehr enge Anordnung der Speicherslots. Bei mir war mit den Serienmäßigen RAM-Kühlern praktisch kein Spalt mehr zwichen den Riegeln, die Kühlflächen lagen komplett aneinander -> Isolation und gegenseitiges Aufheizen. Entsprechend laufen die jetzt (problemlos) ohne KK @ 220Mhz/2.9V (Adata DDR500) im Luftzug der Gehäuselüfter.
