wir haben uns einen Server mit Wasserkühlung versehen; das System dürfte maximal 2 Jahre alt sein, leider läßt uns die Wasserkühlung immer wieder im Stich. Vielleicht habt Ihr hier eine Idee, woran es liegen kann.
Zunächst zum Server: Double XEONs mit 3 GHz, 8 HDs als Raid-Verband.
Die Wasserkühlung basiert auf einner HPPS-Pumpe, die uns aber nach ca 6 Monaten im Stich gelassen hat. Daraufhin wurden eine HPPS+ eingebaut, ebenfalls eine Flußkontrolle, aber so ca alle 6 Monate scheint die jeweils aktive Pumpe schlapp zu machen. Wir müssen in der Regel die Pumpen gegeneinander tauschen und dann einschicken.
Zur Zeit steigen die Probleme wieder an; Die Flußkontrolle meldete in den letzten 14 Tagen eine Drehzahl von 11.000 (das muß ja noch irgendwie geteilt werden); jetzt sinkt dieser Wert in den letzten Tagen aber immer weiter ab; zur Zeit sogar bis auf 6.000
Es ist ausreichend Wasser im System.
Der Server wird aktiv für Distributed Computing genutzt; das bedeutet im Klartext, daß die Prozessoren in der Regel mit mehr als 75% Last laufen und natürlich ordentlich Wärme produzieren.

Weiß jemand, warum wir immer nach ca 6 Monaten einen Ausfall der Wasserkühlung haben ?
