Hey all,

As the header says I was wondering if it's possible to make the FOMP display show anything else that the factory presets?

For instance a Matrix Orbital display that runs with lcdc or similar software is capable of showing frags while playing Quake 3 or having some text scroll across the screen etc.

Maybe it'spossible to run the display with other software than the standard?

Hope anyone knows an answer to this

I've tried to find some information on crystalfontz programming but not much is out there

Is it correct that the FOMP won't run with for instance LCD Smartie?

Any further help would be greatly appreciated

kann es sein das es durch das bios zu fehlerhaften darstellungen kommt ?
jedesmal wenn lcdhype einen text ausgibt erscheint links ein @ und ganz rechts ein A. das A wird manchmal zu einem @ und der zeilenumbruch geht nicht. im lcdhype forum ist dazu nichts zu finden bis auf das es evtl. am bios liegen kann. nur die erste zeile ist ansprechbar.

hat jemand lcdhype mit neuem fom-pro bios laufen ohne die zeichen ?

my experience with showing text on display is that it doesn`t work....
you can only use the first line and this line shows always wrong letter

Strange that no one knows if this is possible.

I really hope it'll be possible in the next software version at least.

I do think that it's kinda uncool that it's one of the most expensive displays around and it can't do simple stuff like that.

I want to be able to show off to my friends!
